Accountability

Cole Gittens -Harlem Junior Tennis

Accountability is when you are late, you jog; you don’t walk. You say your sorry, and you start your laps. A bad example is walking casually like you have all the time in the world.

Competitiveness is when you are serious about some thing, and you will work hard to be better at some thing; like tennis.

Maturity is when you don’t fool around on the court. You don’t have to be told twice about fooling around or what your doing wrong and when you immediately attempt to do it the right way. When your coach is giving you a lecture, the mature person will listen and put that into their game as quickly as possible but immature people would think when is Esu going to be done, its lunch time.

Strengths and weakness in a match are very important in a match. You need to know you style :all court .weakness: back hand. Strength :forehand.

COLE GITTENS
Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is about a boy named Percy Jackson who loses his mother and finds out who his real father is. Percy Jackson’s motivation is to save his mother through dangerous obstacles like fighting Medusa just for his mom.
Percy Jackson goes upon a quest looking for his mother to bring his mother back from the underworld. I know that Percy Jackson’s motivation is to save his mother , for example; when he talked to his friend Grover, Percy asks Grover “If there are gods; then is there an underworld ?” Grover responded “yes” then said “you aren’t thinking about going to the underworld and getting your mom in the underworld.” Responding “no” but Percy was lying. In conclusion Percy went to he underworld to save his mother and bring her back home.
Hades {the god} Percy Jackson’s uncle threatened Percy to kill his mother if he did not get his Helm of Darkness. This motivated Percy because if he does not get Hades’ Helm of Darkness his mother would be killed. Percy Jackson battled Ares {the god of war} Percy won the battle and got Hades’ Helm of Darkness and used it to save his mom. In conclusion, Percy goes through one of the three gorgons {Medusa} and Echidna the mother of all monsters just to save his mom.
In the end Percy saved his mother from death with it being caused by his uncle almost getting Percy himself killed saving his mother.
This was not my first time reading this book. I like this book for 3 reasons. First its fictional and anything can happen, for example Percy ripping off of a Minotaur‘s Horn. Second, its an adventure like where they go: for example, they went to the Empire State building which is Mount Olympus in the book. Third, its action packed, for example; Percy fighting Medusa and slicing her head off.
